EUDR Species Taxonomy

Reference data for which timber species names TRACES will accept — a curated snapshot of accepted scientific binomials (and their known synonyms) resolved from the GBIF Backbone Taxonomy. Global reference data, not org-scoped; every org sees the same list.

This is the species counterpart to the Annex I Scope endpoints, and it backs the species_name_unresolved pre-submission blocker (see EUDR Compliance → Species name conformance): a declared speciesInfo.scientificName that isn't a real accepted binomial is caught before TRACES rejects the filing.
